Nanotech knowledge is rapidly growing. The number of scientific publications in the field grew from about 200 in 1997 to more than 12,000 in 2002. Despite this, relatively few products using nanoparticles are currently on the market. On the whole, the ones that are already on sale do not address the issues highlighted above, of health, food security and the environment. Rather, they have focused on consumer applications that include improved sunscreens, crack-resistant paints and scratch-proof spectacle lenses. Like electricity and the internal combustion engine, nanotechnology is an enabling technology. As such, it is predicted to precipitate a range of innovations.
In June 1999, Richard Smalley, Nobel laureate in chemistry, addressed the US House Committee on Science on the benefits of nanotechnology. “The impact of nanotechnology on the health, wealth, and lives of people,” he said, “will be at least the equivalent of the combined influences of microelectronics, medical imaging, computer-aided engineering and man-made polymers developed in this century.”

Why Choose Us
Nanotechnology is hailed as having the potential to increase the efficiency of energy consumption, help clean the environment, and solve major health problems. It is said to be able to massively increase manufacturing production at significantly reduced costs. Products of nanotechnology will be smaller, cheaper, lighter yet more functional and require less energy and fewer raw materials to manufacture.
NanoProtect was established in 2012 with more than 5 years’ experience working with Nano Technology products. NanoProtect’ management and employees strongly subscribe to the principles of sound corporate governance. It is committed to the creation of local competence, skills and intense training and skill transfers to our personnel and SMME development. NanoProtect’ key focus areas are the development of young talent. NanoProtect has a clear and focused strategy to target opportunities in selected areas in Africa and Indian Islands. We form collaboration + partnerships with our customers to meet and achieve the results for their requirements. Partnerships or Acquisitions of companies that are in line with NanoProtect’ Vision and Mission to establish as a leader in Africa. Providing services and support with the objective to become a worldwide leader.
NanoProtect has been involved with Nano Liquid Glass Surface Protection for 5 years and has secured the sole rights for Africa and Indian Ocean Islands to import and sell a wide range of Nanotechnology products from major international manufacturers. The product portfolio is primarily based on Nano-Layering products whereby the treated surface becomes coated with an extremely thin layer of Liquid Glass. Once the surface is treated, it becomes scratch resistant, anti-corrosive, self-cleaning, as well as being protected against bacteria, fungus and many more. Due to the continuous technological development, more advanced products are produced every year. NanoProtect has managed to work in collaboration with University of Mauritius Nano Faculty and international manufacturers and suppliers of surface protection products, who invest heavily in R&D. NanoProtect is now able to offer an incredible opportunity to Entrepreneurs, wishing to benefit from the investment made by NanoProtect, as well as an innovative business concept designed to create sustainable jobs, provide economic growth and uplift young entrepreneurs, in this very exciting technology.
